A little preparation can speed up your loan approval process. Be sure to have the following information ready for your lender when you complete your application

• List of addresses where you have lived for the last three years. Include specific dates (South Dakota Housing loans).
• Past three years employer's names, addresses and telephone numbers.
• Copy of last pay stub. (FHA/VA loans).
• Your rate of pay and hours worked per week for each employer.
• Names of banks where you have checking and savings accounts. Include addresses and account numbers.
• Copy of most recent bank statement. (FHA/VA loans).
• List of all debts with balances, payments, addresses and account numbers. Include all credit cards.
• Past three years tax returns, signed and dated. (SHDA and self-employed applicants).
• If receiving income from or paying money for alimony and/or child support, bring copy of divorce decree.
• If any income is received from real estate owned or sold, bring copy of lease agreements and/or purchase agreements.
• A check to cover credit report and appraisal (approximately $400).
• Driver's license (FHA/VA loans).
• Original social security card/letter from social security office with numbers on it (FHA/VA loans).
• Copy of financial statement (self-employed applicants).
